Working with our website

Browse the NewelProps.com website or mobile app using either the keyword search on the top right or the category and sub category list by using either the top bar navigation, or the menu on the left side of the search page. Each rental item includes photos of the piece, a description, measurements, and the weekly rental price. Don't forget: we will work with your budget!

Once you see an item that you like, you can add it to My Projects, which you can use either by logging in or as a guest. Please note that lists created as a guest will disappear when you navigate away from our site. To save your list between sessions, please log in! Logging in also gives you the opportunity to manage multiple projects at a time. When you’re done putting together your list, submit it to one of our salespeople by using the “check availability” button. Please be sure to include your desired pickup and return dates so we can check availability and send you an estimate. If you can't find something on our website, please feel free to give us a call at 718-395-1955 or email info@newelprops.com, as we are always adding new inventory.

Working with your budget

Newel Props will work with your budget. All rates are for weekly rental. The rental period begins the day your order is picked up and continues for seven calendar days including weekends and holidays. Rentals may be kept for longer and are billed at a discounted weekly rate. Orders that are canceled after confirmation may be subject to a restocking fee. No refunds will be issued once rentals have been picked up.

All orders need to be paid before they are prepared for pickup. Please confirm your order by sending back your completed credit card form. Newel Props offers Net 30 accounts for qualified clients. These clients should provide a Purchase Order (PO) when confirming their orders.

Working together

All props are rented in "as is" condition. Many of our rentals are antiques or vintage pieces and may show some age. We make every effort to let you know of any issues before you confirm your order.

Newel Props can arrange local delivery, if needed, for an additional charge. In certain cases we can wrap and ship out of town items via FED EX for an additional charge.

All rentals are either blanket-wrapped or boxed with bubble wrap unless you request otherwise. Rentals should return wrapped as they were received to avoid damage. Please reuse the packing material when possible.

INSURANCE

Newel Props expects rentals to be returned in the condition in which they were picked up. Rentals returned damaged or altered will be restored by Newel who will charge the client a fee based on the cost of restoration (including, when appropriate, depreciation in value). Items not returned, or items which cannot be restored by Newel, will be charged at an insurance risk value as posted on the public Newel Sales website (Newel.com), less a trade discount of 20%. Items not posted on that site will have an agreed replacement valuation of 3 x the rental price as listed on the rental invoice order form. It is the responsibility of the customer to insure with reputable insurers at the insurance risk values against loss or damage howsoever caused from time of collection until return, and to produce a certificate of insurance on demand. If customer authorizes Newel LLC to procure a certificate of insurance, such charges with be calculated by Newel based on the value and time period of merchandise use. The fees for insurance coverage obtained by Newel LLC are due at the time of pickup.


ALTERATIONS

No alterations shall be made to items without prior written consent of Newel Props and shall be subject to the conditions of such consent. Labels identifying items should not be removed. No items shall be used for any purpose other than those for which such items are designated and shall not be lent or sub-let to any third party.


INDEMNIFICATION

The Customer shall indemnify Newel LLC against all claims and expenses in respect of damage, injury, or loss arising directly or indirectly out of the use or condition of the items, and shall be responsible for selection. No warranty of fitness is given by Newel LLC for any particular use or purpose of the merchandise which is rented on as an “as is” basis. Customers are respectfully reminded of copyright legislation, and Newel shall not be liable for any possible copyright infringement. To the best of Newel LLC’s knowledge, only art and sculpture to be rented will have clearance for that purpose. Newel Props’ complete rental agreement can be viewed on the back of your estimate or invoice.
